Recovery Terms

Professional recovery assistance is optional and must be expressly authorised by the complainant during or after case creation.

There is no upfront professional recovery fee. If money is successfully recovered through professional recovery assistance, a 20% recovery fee applies to amounts recovered, subject to these terms.

Where authorised, SettleMe may assign an approved recovery partner, which may be a lawyer, law firm, mediator, recovery professional or other approved professional. All partner contact attempts, negotiations and outcomes are logged on the case timeline.

SettleMe does not guarantee recovery of any amount claimed, does not act as your legal representative and does not provide legal advice. You remain free to pursue other lawful remedies, including obtaining professional legal advice.

Recovery activity must remain lawful and respectful. Harassment, threats and intimidation are prohibited.
